Our studio had the distinct honor of directing and producing “Smile Mona Lisa,” a project that brought a unique vision to life within the hallowed halls of this prestigious museum.
The project centered around a beautifully simple yet innovative concept: bringing iconic Renaissance paintings to life as the backdrop for will.i.am's song. This entailed a journey where performers were reimagined as characters from these classic works of art. One of the highlights was convincingly transforming Nicole Scherzinger into the Mona Lisa.
To achieve this ambitious vision, our team developed original face-tracking tools and software. This technology was crucial in seamlessly integrating live performers with the iconic imagery of Renaissance art, creating a convincing and visual narrative.
"Smile Mona Lisa" was presented to a diverse audience at the Musée du Louvre, marking a significant milestone for our studio.
The project garnered over 10 million views on YouTube, demonstrating its wide-reaching appeal and impact.
Perhaps most importantly, "Smile Mona Lisa" succeeded in bridging the gap between pop music and classical art, creating a fusion that resonated with audiences across different artistic preferences and backgrounds.
This project not only showcased our technical expertise and creative vision but also underscored our commitment to pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the realm of art and animation.
